Resposta: It does appear natural, however I would not be certain it has not been dyed/coloured -

Resposta: I haven't tried it as crochet hook 's quite bulky so I use a wide eyed needle and the material stays intact during the process. Raffia work is ancient and I think those folk arrived at the best solution, weave it. I don't think a thick crochet hook would slip through the underlying rows, there just isn't room. So a needle. -

Resposta: I would imagine so - modern low wattage bulbs do not give off too much heat
