    Resposta: You are cleaning the filter too often. Only clean the filter with used tank water, not tap water!! Rinse the filter with tank water once a month, do water changes every 3 to 4 weeks with dechlorinated treated tap water. Your filter is not being allowed to mature. Hope this helps.
  • Pergunta: Is this suitable for goldfish?

    Resposta: Yes. I purchased this for my tank and have 3 large fantail goldfish. It's pretty powerful, but you can regulate the flow. Keeps the tank spotless. I would, however, purchase spare sponges which are available, as they begin to lose their vibrant color after a few washes. It's a bit tricky to take apart and reassemble at first, but after a couple of cleans, I got the hang of it. I would recommend it. Good value.

    Resposta: If you're keeping any kind of tropical or freshwater fish, you definitely need to keep your filter pump on overnight - in fact, you need to keep the filter running 24/7 for the health of your fish.

    Resposta: Sorry, not sure, but most fish stores will have spares.
  • Pergunta: Could I put this in the filter area of a Juwel complete tank setup, 125 litres?

    Resposta: It's powerful and has plenty of air bubbles. But I would have another filter as well.
  • Pergunta: Bought this for my tank, but it is way too powerful! But disappointed as it didn't say a minimum litre... is there a smaller version?

    Resposta: Mine came with three sections. I took one away. Still the same power but allowed me to put the filter well under the water level. If you have a very tall tank, then no problem. Mine with the 3 sections meant that the outtake part of the pump was just under the water level. And because I have no lid to my tank, it meant the excess water was spraying over the top and causing a mess.
