Thule Bike Racks 871000 Editorial Review

The Thule OnShore cargo box has garnered a mixed reception among customers, with both praises and warnings highlighted in various reviews. Many users appreciate its lightweight design, making it easy to install and handle. The cargo box is noted for its sturdy Construction, which offers durability and a reliable way to store valuable items, particularly for outdoor enthusiasts such as fishermen who find it ideal for securing their fishing rods. The spacious interior allows for efficient organization of gear, providing convenience for those traveling with equipment. However, notable concerns have emerged from the user community, particularly emphasizing safety. A critical warning mentions that the Thule OnShore is not wind-rated, leading to a serious incident where multiple gears were lost when the cargo box blew off a vehicle at highway speeds. This raises alarms about its suitability for all vehicles, as some users have suggested that it might be better suited for SUVs rather than sedans due to fit and stability issues. While the overall quality of materials is deemed high, customers suggest that enhancements such as additional compatibility options for various vehicle types could improve the product’s appeal. Overall, the Thule OnShore is a solid choice for specific uses, provided users are cautious about its limitations. **
