The armor over the knee and shin is rigid and sturdy, providing excellent protection. The outer material is durable and resistant to snagging. The guards are not overly bulky, allowing for the possibility of wearing them under jeans or pants, although a more relaxed cut is advised. One issue noticed by the reviewer is that the knee armor is heavily pre-bent, which can cause discomfort when standing. The bottom edge of the knee armor digs into the shin, making walking uncomfortable. However, this problem can easily be fixed by removing the armor from the pads, trimming about 1/2" off the curved edge, and reinserting it.
