The cable is also suitable for gate operator controls as long as 18 AWG shielded cables are specified and the control voltage is not over 300V RMS. If you need water-resistant cable, then the 5300F1 is a better option. However, it is important to note that this is a little stiff and would be better if the strands were higher AWG. Customers have found the product to be useful for various applications, including powering motion sensors from a small solar panel and crank trigger mag pickup runs.
