The contrasting settings of Wuthering Heights and the Grange add to the overall atmosphere of the novel, with the former representing danger and harshness, while the latter offers comfort and safety. Heathcliff, the central character, is depicted as a villain throughout the story, with his darkness and cruelty evident to all.
