The hose kit is designed for use with a dust collector and is 2-1/2 inches in diameter. One of the main concerns I had when Considering this product was its length, and unfortunately, there is no information provided about the retracted and expanded lengths in the product description. However, after reaching out to the manufacturer, I was informed that the hose's retracted length is 10 inches and its expanded length is 38 inches. It would have been helpful to have this information readily available, as it is quite relevant and important for potential buyers. In terms of functionality, the hose holds up well when expanded and connected to a dust collector. It does a great job of capturing dust and debris, making the workspace cleaner and safer. However, it should be noted that the hose is not able to hold its own weight when upright in an S-shape. This means that it may fall even without the dust collector turned on. It is important to keep this in mind when setting up the hose and ensure it is positioned securely to prevent any accidents. In terms of length, the hose is quite versatile. It can accordion up to about 1 foot and remain rigid or stretch out to 3 feet and also stay rigid. This flexibility makes it ideal for various applications, such as connecting to a drill press or other power tools. The rigid Construction of the hose ensures smooth airflow and efficient dust collection.
